After the last game at the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A the individual awards were given to key players.

20-year-old Slovenian goalkeeper Luka Gracnar earned the award for the Most Valuable Player and was named to the All-Star Team by the media while his Japanese counterpart Yutaka Fukufuji won the Best Goalkeeper award as selected by the tournament directorate. Gracnar played four games in the Slovenian net including the “final” against Austria and had a 95.96% save percentage.

The other individual awards went to Austria’s Dominique Heinrich as Best Defenceman and to Slovenia’s Jan Mursak as Best Forward.
